Intern-al Affairs: Meet Jeff Dorsman
By PAPERMAG Editors
Name: Jeff Dorsman
Age: 20
Position: Magazine Intern
Hometown: Guilderland, NY
School and Major: Marist College, Marketing
Facebook or MySpace: I’m an equal opportunity employer of both.
Fave Blog: Oh Know They Didn’t!, Stockholm Streetstyle
Fave Designer: Nicolas Ghesquière; the Balenciaga Spring 07 collection will resonate with me forever…Robo leggings? Genius!
Best thing about interning at PAPER: The ability to learn about all aspects of the magazine industry.
The Worst: Stressful garment runs to unfamiliar locations in the city.
Fave PAPER Cover: Maya Rudolph channeling Donatella Versace…now GET OUT!
Fave PAPER person and why: Mickey, because of our fun and interesting lunch conversations.
Where do you see yourself in five years: Living in New York City, working in the magazine industry.
Fave free things you do in NYC: Museums (my favorite being the Museum of Natural History)…donations are only suggested!
Fave boutique: Odin
Fave restaurant: The Coffee Shop in Union Square, but only if I can people watch on the patio.
Fave bar: Screw NYC...Toucans in Poughkeepsie, RIP
First five songs that play when you set your iPod to shuffle (BE HONEST!):
1. Out Hud- “It’s for you”
2. Carole King- “It’s too late”
3. Citizen Cope- “Hurricane Waters”
4. Mark Ronson- “Stop Me”
5. Hall & Oates- “She’s gone”
NYC has tons of fabulous celebrities living and roaming about, but it’s rare to see one in the flesh. What have been your fave celebrity sightings so far?
I had a very ONTD encounter with Maggie Gyllenhaal as she was strolling her new baby down the street. Joshua Jackson (aka Pacey) literally bumped into me while entering a bank, yet was kind enough to say “Sorry.” And in the middle of a stressful garment run, I saw Laura, the glamorous redhead from Project Runway.

I'm definitely Jeff's biggest (short-statured) fan! & I love the fact that SNL and one of my favorite 80's bands managed to get in the answers! Very nice ;-)
