Shop of the Week: Behaviour
By PAPERMAG Editors

Located smack in the heart of Chelsea, new boutique Behaviour caters to the man looking for modern business/casual clothing. Though comprised mostly of labels unknown to even the savvy shopper, there is something here for every fashionable boy. Says owner Chad Vo: "There was nowhere in Chelsea for my friends to buy clothes. Jeffrey is too expensive, and Camouflage is a bit conservative." With half the stock coming from Europe and the other from emerging American designers, like Yoko Devereaux and Ju$t Another Rich Kid, the clothing runs from slick blazers to ever-popular printed T-shirts and hoodies. For this summer, a nautical theme runs across all lines. Messagerie's boatneck navy-blue sweaters, Junk de Luxe's striped jerseys and Prime Rib's skull-and-crossbones polo shirts are just a few examples of pieces by new designers. Drykorn offers a nice variety of chino pants, Unconditional provides basic knitwear with a twist, and Caste provides slim trenches. If you are a man with a thin waistline, Behaviour will delight -- Vo buys the bulk of small and extra-small to cater to that body-conscious Chelsea customer. Sunglasses by Pierre Cardin (vintage) and Oliver Peoples, stunning candles by Voluspa and a collection of vintage ashtrays round out the shop's collection. 231 W. 19th St., (212) 352-8380.
