My Favorite Dress

I saw a photo of this dress yesterday in WWD and I can't stop looking at it. It is a dress Isabel Toledo designed for her resort collection for Anne Klein. I think it is so beautiful -- the puce color, the drape, the length, the proportions. Even the shoes. It's so "goddess" in the best sense of the word. And I think its so modern also. I was so excited to see such a beautiful piece because I feel like Isabel is getting her sea legs at AK is really going to sock it to us next season. Isn't it beautiful?

I realy like Isabel Toledo, and I think she will give Anne Klein a much needed lift to the higher plane. Yet this dress makes me think more of a Russian Constructivist calisthenics uniform (and I know calisthenics.) Or, perhaps, the formative years of Wonder Girl. Bu there is definately class here. The lovely class of 2007.
