Best Coast, Rostam Batmanglij and Kid Cudi at Converse's Music Hall of Williamsburg Party

Last night Converse hosted "Three Artists One Song," a private concert with Best Coast, Kid Cudi and Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Batmanglij got things underway with a short DJ set followed by DJ trio Punches who tried to pump up the crowd of subdued industry people. Next time, Punches! Best Coast followed, performing with new drummer Ali Koehler formerly of the Vivian Girls and playing a solid sun-soaked set that transported the room to someone's weed-sceneted garage in California. Kid Cudi took the stage next holding a half-smoked blunt and a Heineken in his hand. If this didn't make him the coolest person in the room, smoothly responding "I love you, too. I really do" to a few screaming ladies in the crowd did. Kudi stumbled half way through his set, though, when he lit a joint, took a huge shot of Jamison, and then forgot the lyrics to the song he was singing, forcing him to start over. We hope he's feeling OK today.  For the finale, Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino, Batmanglij and Kid Cudi performed their shimmering Converse-produced track "All Summer," a song we're certain will be warming our bones well into the winter. Check out photos from the party and some of its cute attendees above.
