Prince Rama, with equal parts validity, can be described as artists and musicians. Comprised of sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson, the duo are so active that they give the impression of being everywhere at once. Places they could be spotted recently include: a pseudo-utopian black metal community in Estonia, where they played themselves in a participatory ethnographic film; in NY, tending their installation at the Whitney Museum; serving seitan tacos at warehouse parties in Brooklyn; gigging as a band, from Moscow to LA and everywhere in between; premiering their film Never Forever in the MoMA PS1 dome in the Rockaways; on Instagram, live-documenting a freak raccoon attack in Central Park (with ensuing media frenzy). In the fall, they're bound for Australia, where they will be playing shows, building gallery installations and giving cooking demos. Despite their busy schedules, they were kind enough to give PAPER a tour of their Bed-Stuy headquarters… and cook us breakfast. As these photos evince, no one enjoys Monday mornings quite like the Larson sisters.
