Selena Gomez: Beautiful People 2011

As a Billboard-charting pop singer and the star of the Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly
Place, Selena Gomez admits that her reality can occasionally be a little much. "Sometimes
I'll wake up with, like, a thousand things to do and just freak out," says the 18-year-old Texas
native, who also happens to be the girlfriend of one Justin Bieber. "But then I just have to
remind myself of how fortunate I am to be able to do what I do."
What Gomez does might soon become a little less Mouse House-y. "Once my show is over, I'll have to start over in a way," she admits of life after Disney. "Gaining credit from a different crowd -- it's gonna be hard." Last year Gomez starred in the decidedly kid-friendly Ramona and Beezus, but this summer she'll age up a bit with Monte Carlo, which also features Leighton Meester and Cory Monteith. Still, this fresh-faced Barney & Friends alum figures she's got some time before her controversy-courting days begin. "I love my fans more than anything, so I'd never wanna do something that would make them uncomfortable," she insists. "I feel like it's all about choosing roles gradually."
As for her music, Gomez says the upcoming third album by her band, the Scene, hews closely to the uptempo electro-pop vibe of their first two. "I love making people happy," she says. "I never wanna take my music too seriously -- that's not what it's about for me." So we shouldn't expect to see Gomez sitting on a stool, strumming her pain with her fingers? "Probably not. If we put out an acoustic album, it's still gonna be fun."

i absolutely admire Selena, she is so amazing, its nice to know she didn't turn out like the other Disney stars, she stays humble and SO down to earth and shes so talented & beautiful and is SO devoted to her fans, i can't wait to see her new movies, its going to be awesome seeing her do some serious roles, shes an outstanding actress, shes gonna go far, shes not going any where, this is just the beginning
