A CATERED AFFAIR
The gifted, gravel-voiced, four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein is back as the book writer and uncle of the bride in this new musical comedy set in the Bronx of 1953, wherein parents plan their only daughter's wedding, wanting for it to be a big fancy affair when the young couple wants just the opposite. John Bucchino wrote the score and John Doyle directs. Broadway legend Faith Prince plays the mother of the bride, and oft-proven Tom Wopat plays dad.
Walter Kerr Theatre, 219 W. 48th St., (212) 239-6200. Previews Mar. 25. Opens Apr. 17.
