Artists Wanted's Scope Party With Gang Gang Dance, Le Reitman and Lots of Trapeze Artists

Marial Maher

The colorful stained glass in the Angel Orensanz building on the Lower East Side lent a dramatic air to the Scope Art Show after-party Thursday night, where art-world luminaries packed the space to raise money for Art of Elysium, who work with children under long-term care in the city's hospitals.

The party was curated by Artist Wanted and included epic live performances by Le Reitman (featuring Didi Gutman of the Brazilian Girls) and Gang Gang Dance. Wandering eyes were also drawn towards the trapeze dancers hanging from the 60-foot ceilings and the brilliant wearable headdress sculptures by Lainie Love Dalby.

Our boys AndrewAndrew manned the DJ booth while familiar faces swept the dance floor including Chloe Sevigny and Nick Zinner. People danced through the night, drinks were shared and next-day hangovers were likely procured.  Let's all pray that Basel, London, and Miami bring the same energy for their Scope Art Show after parties.
