In honor of their 60th anniversary, photography foundation Aperture has invited ten photographers to create unique pieces -- or to select existing art from their body of work -- inspired by one of their publications. The opening reception for the exhibit -- dubbed Aperture Remix -- takes place tonight at Aperture Gallery and Bookstore (547 W. 27th St.) along with a corresponding preview of photographs being auctioned off in honor of the milestone -- including works by Diane Arbus, Chuck Close, Nan Goldin, and Robert Mapplethorpe. Scroll down to view images from the show by photographers like Martin Parr, Doug Rickard, Rinko Kawauchi and more.
