We're betting a lot of fashion editors, models, celebrities and buyers began their Paris Fashion Week yesterday bleary-eyed and wobbly after partying the night before at Milan Fashion Week's most glamorous bash of the season: the annual amfAR gala. Held at the 'La Permanente' museum, the sixth annual gala was hosted by Heidi Klum and raised more than $1.4 million dollars.

After we all took our seats, Vogue Italia’s Editor-in-Chief, Franca Sozanni -- last year’s honoree -- presented the night’s Award of Courage to Moncler Chairman and creative director Remo Ruffini who accepted his award to a round of applause. It wasn't long after that the auction began at which point it became clear how amfAR is able to raise such a staggering amount: on the block was a one-of-a-kind Damien Hirst piece, a Robert Rauschenberg work that was auctioned off with help from supermodel Bar Refaeli, a yellow-gold Bulgari watch worn by Matthew McConaughey to the 2014 Emmys along with a signed image of the actor wearing it that was auctioned off with help from actors Gale Harold and Bella Thorne and a surprise item, announced by Rosario Dawson, that turned out to be a promotional poster of Grace Jones’ Nightclubbing album from 1981 that Jones had signed shortly before the auction.

The last item was a perfect segue into the evening's main attraction: an electric performance by Grace Jones. When the legend took the stage, dinner guests forgot about their restrictive gowns and tuxedos and rushed out of their seats towards to better watch Jones perform "Ma Vie en Rose," "Pull Up to the Bumper," and a hula-hooping rendition of "Slave to the Rhythm." Jones told us she wanted to jump onto our table to perform this last song, at which point Poppy Delevingne, Jon Kortajarena and I scrambled to clear off the glasses and plates while hooting words of encouragement but, much to our chagrin, she had second thoughts and stayed onstage.

Needless to say this set the tone for a raucous after-party presented by Vionnet and Le Baron, featuring music by DJ Johnny Dynell, I’m Someone and The Shoes. Scope photos from the party including shots of guests like Coco Rocha, Margherita Missoni, Goga Ashkenazi, Rosario Dawson, Jeremy Piven, Poppy Delevingne, Bella Thorne, Bar Refaeli, Alessandra Ambrosio, Toni Garrn, Heidi Klum, and more.
