Santigold Treats Fans to Free Show With a Little Help From Pharrell and SNL's Shy Ronnie

Last night Samsung Mobile teamed up with Santigold for a special concert at NYC's Irving Plaza in celebration of the brand's 5MM Facebook "likes." One thousand lucky fans had the chance to catch the free show and lose their shit when a couple of special guests came onstage: Pharell joined the singer for a rendition of their duet "My Drive Thru" and Andy Samberg shuffled on in character as Shy Ronnie from SNL during "Fame." Though these appearances were definite highlights, the whole show was spot on -- Santigold and her two stony-eyed back-up dancers (who could give the Buckingham Palace guards a run for their money) kept the energy up the entire time, playing a string of songs from her new album, Master of My Make-Believe, as well as old favorites like "Creator," "Shove It," and "L.E.S. Artistes." All in all, a very fun night courtesy of Samsung. Check out more photos from the concert and a video of Samberg and Santigold below:

Hold On, Wilson Phillips Performed at the Shops at Target Party Last Night!

Target threw a little bash last night a the IAC building to celebrate their new Shops at Target project and, WHOA, HOLY CRAP!, Wilson Phillips gave a surprise performance at the end of the night. Everyone pretty much went nuts when the trio took the stage following DJ sets by Chelsea Leyland and Theophilus London and a performance by indie-pop duo Chairlift. (And, yes, WP sang "Hold On." And, yes, it was amazing.) Other guests we spotted at the launch included Martha Stewart, Emma Roberts, January Jones (who, unfortunately, was not toting around a box of Bugles), Todd Oldham, Leelee Sobieski and Gossip Girl's Amanda Setton. The Shops at Target, by the by, will feature in-store pop-up shops in select Targets from independent boutiques around the country. These shops include Miami clothing store the Webster, Colorado cosmetics shop Cos Bar and Connecticut home goods store Privet House among others. They'll be in select stores and online this Sunday. More info here. Check out photos by Billy Farrell Agency of the evening in the gallery above.

Colorful Cool Kids Raving at XTAPUSSY Dance Party

Over the last few months, a roving, quasi-private rave of sorts called XTAPUSSY has attracted a healthy following. It's basically a grimy polysexual dance party where artistic types let loose among low-budget lasers and fun, jerky beats. The crowd seems to come from Brooklyn but for Friday's edition (as well as a previous one) the location was a raw, grafitti-filled Soho loft, which might be a less remarkable fact if this were an earlier decade. Some people were overheard comparing the vibe to that of Berlin. Apparently the Soho space came courtesy of a major player in the fashion industry but we're sworn to secrecy about all that. Some of the people we spotted at the party included members of bands like Prince Rama, Liturgy, Bad Brilliance, Hexawhorra, House of Ladosha, and Mykki Blanco, plus DJs PHYSICAL THERAPY, GOBBY, HAYLEY PISATURO, ++4EVA, 1@1 SOLOMON CHASE, DANIEL LEYVA. Pics of some of our fave looks above.

3x1 Celebrates Its Ben Watts Skateboard Collab

Denim emporium 3x1's normally calm and collected Mercer space was transformed
into a killer club-like party last night in celebration of the brand's new limited
edition skateboards, a collaboration with famed photographer Ben Watts that finds
Jessica Hart, Lake Bell, Chanel Iman and more on the dashing decks. We wondered
if Watts was a boarder himself? "Well, the skateboards were 3x1's idea -- you can't
skateboard with these babies," he told us with a smile, referring to his amazing blue
suede slippers. Touché, Ben.

We said our goodbyes to the evening's guest of honor then danced our way
around the rest of the party thanks to PAPERMAG favorite DJ Chelsea Leyland, who
turned the space out with some bass-bumping tunes while Brandee Brown, Jenne
Lombardo and others danced along. Meanwhile, the real-life Winklevosses (that would be Tyler and Cameron) hung in the back corner with some lady friends while the beautiful Jessica Hart continually posed for pics, not to be outmatched by the also-beautiful Elsa Hosk, who chatted it
up with an entourage-heavy Jude Law.
Wren's FW/'12 Presentation With Sarah Sophie Flicker, Joe Zee and Tavi On Screen

Last night, Champagne brand Nicolas Feuillatte hosted a little bash at Tribeca's Parlor on behalf of fashion line Wren's FW 2012 collection. Guests like Elle's Joe Zee and fashion plate Michelle Harper
were treated to racks of cool clothes to gawk at (as well as a few
models who stood by the bar, one of which wore a leopard-printed jacket
that we died for) while DJ Tennessee Thomas spun some of our
favorite throwback tunes. Before long, the party's patrons were gathered
into the venue's viewing room, where a short film featuring fashion
wunderkind Tavi Gevinson adorned in some of Wren's fetching frocks premièred (see the film and stills below). The film, directed by Maximilla Lukacs and Citizen Band's Sarah Sophie Flicker,
found Tavi looking dreamy while waltzing along some trees, as well as
singing a cool and creepy song called "Beware Of Young Girls," which
acted as the short flick's title.

We stood next to Thomas while watching the piece and got the British beauty's thoughts on the film. "Well, Dory Previn [who wrote "Beware Of Young Girls"] is one of my favorite songwriters," the downtown favorite told us. "She was married to Andre Previn, who left her for Mia Farrow,
and the song is about a 24 year-old Mia Farrow coming around to her
house with daisies -- if you read the lyrics, it also talks about how
they were friends." We love a good history lesson, especially when its
filled with classic Hollywood drama. Check out these photos from Billy
Farell Agency from the evening.
