I feel young enough to be okay with my age but I'm old enough to hesitate with my answer.

What was your first gig in New York? What was your favorite gig in New York?
When I first moved here I didn't know anyone so I'd go out to gay clubs all by myself in sparkle bathing suits and just dance alone. One night at Duvet I did an impromptu show on the dance floor in this crazy leopard dress and towering stilettos and Kenny, Kenny hired me to dance in the cage at Happy Valley. I never looked back!! I've done so many parties since then, but Happy Valley was legendary and will probably always be one of my favorites.
What has been your proudest moment as a member of the LGBT community?
My job takes place in the community and every time I get dressed up and step out into nightlife I am adding to my community. It might seem like it's all dress up and debauchery but it's also a part of my politics and my identity. I live it out proudly on the discotheque floor!
If you could sleep with any gay, dead or alive, famous or not, who would it be?
I would love to have had an affair with Frida Kahlo and maybe just a one night stand with Marlene Dietrich. Strangely I've always had a little thing for Jean Genet. I guess I just can't give up loving the "bad boys!"
