Geoff McFetridge is a Canadian-born artist based in Los Angeles, California. He is part of the celebrated "Beautiful Losers" exhibition, and has had solo exhibits in cities and countries around the world, including Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, London, the Netherlands and Japan. McFetridge instinctively ignores creative boundaries in his work, and is truly a multidisciplinary artist who creates everything from poetry and animation, graphics and 3D work, to wallpaper and paintings. His design studio, Champion Graphics, has done projects for a number of clients, among them Pepsi, Patagonia, Nike and Vans.

"Lincoln is very much a man for these times, his beliefs and values hold strong to this day. I was thinking of a way to give a new iconic value to the lowly penny. American history is an interesting way to describe what America is like today. I like to think there is a little bit of Lincoln in all Americans. I also thought it was funny to mess with the American flag as a design exercise. I liked that the idea of endlessly designing the flag is both disrespectful and optimistic."
