GAIL ALBERT HALABAN

"Out My Window"

New York is an intimate place, despite the fact that most of us are strangers. We see in each other's lives through windows -- by accident or on purpose. Albert Halaban's photographs are voyeuristic but not menacing, framing views of our neighbors and narrating their lives based on their space and their small gestures. The exhibition is co-sponsored by the Design Trust for Public Space.

Gallery MC, 549 W. 52nd St., (212) 581-1966. Opening reception, February 5, 6-9 p.m.
