As expected, the Heatherette show was really and truly and truly and really amazing. The show took a while to get started -- and was that really Pat Field squished into an aisle? -- but the pre-show chaos (rumors were circulating there were thousands of fake show invites, that all standing room guests had been turned away) and restless build-up made the show all the more spectacular. As the lights went down, as the reggae-ish opening bars of "Stars Are Blind" pumped out of the speakers, as an Amazonian silhouette revealed itself to be Paris Hilton, the show began. Clad in an animal-print floor-length number, and wheeling a Heatherette carry-on bag, Paris floated down the runway while half lip-synching her single. Her vacant blue eyes, her oil-smothered skin, her mile-long limbs: There really is something other-worldly about this hotel heiress. Other celebrity walkers included Sister Nicky, Mena Suvari, Mya, Johnny Weir, Theodora Richards, Tinsley Mortimer and Kelis. While brimming with the famous folk – both on and off the runway -- the California surfer dude and dudette-themed show showcased some seriously sweet-ass clothing. The regular models, wearing platinum blonde wigs, wore fun, flirty, Hawaiian-flowered, sailor-style, and leopard print numbers. Our favorite look was a long, white cotton dress, crossed down the front with light pink and blue swathes of fabric. We also enjoyed the Sesame Street-esque letter and number-covered outfits. In conclusion: Fun, funner & funnest. ALEXIS SWERDLOFF PHOTOS BY CAROLINE TOREM CRAIG
