Last Monday, a slew of bold-faced names (Jamie Bell, Florent Morellet, Sophia Lamar, Max Mingella, to name a few) came out for the Benefit Gala for John J. Harvey at the Xchange on W. 28th St. The benefit raised $115,000 towards the John J. Harvey, an antique fireboat in dire need of repair that pumped water to firefighters for 80 hours during the Sept. 11th attack on the World Trade Center. The event featured Fireboat! A Musicale a musical revue based on Maira Kalman’s best-selling children’s book, starring David Ilku, Dirty Martini, Xavier and The Dazzle Dancers.
