With over 74 million views on YouTube, the house-tinged dance track is propelling the Canadian singer into the pop spotlight, even landing her stints on Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel. But with her cover of the Nirvana classic, "Heart-Shaped Box," for NME's Basement Session out today, the musician shows off a different side to her singing chops, one suited for some cool jam sessions at an "alt coffee shop" as opposed to, say, a night at Output.
