Lily Allen has words for RiRi, Lorde, Bey, Katy, Gaga: she "wants that crown, bitch." In "Sheezus," the titular song off her forthcoming album, Allen wastes no time proclaiming her comeback (pff, as if she ever left!), telling her would-be pop diva competitors that she's coming back and hitting harder than ever. Though in a recent interview, Allen explains that the song is meant to be more tongue-in-cheek than anything, telling MTV News that "I don't think that I could even possibly take one tiny diamond off of any of [Beyoncé/Katy Perry/Rihanna's] crowns...The idea of the song is the ridiculousness that there even is a Sheezus."
The accompanying video shows shots of Allen in a hoodie and many different hair 'dos in front of a screen whose squiggly, psychedelic animations are what thousands of tripping concertgoers probably saw at Coachella last weekend. Give the video a watch, above, and keep your eyes out for Sheezus, out May 5.
