Paper's own Carlos Santolalla and his bf John were among the downtown dignitaries in the DKNY show. Angel Haze, Brandee Brown, Chelsea Leyland and Hannah Bronfman joined 'real models' to showcase Donna Karan's kickier younger line DKNY and I loved the energy.
Every look at the Public School show was major. So chic. So European. Such a strong point of view. It made me wish I was the world's chicest cartoon villain so I could wear those capes! The womenswear, which they showed for the first time, was also spot-on.
Sparkle flats at Manolo Blahnik
Manolo Blahnik is still the king of fantabulous fantasy footwear and he showed a gallery full of his signature styles. This season we particularly felt the sparkle flats. Maybe it's because we're getting old and maybe it's because we know sexy can be comfy too.
Trompe l'oeil details at Band of Outsiders
Trompe l'oeil is my favorite fashion effect and I flipped for the cape with trompe l'oeil toggles and the skirt with trompe l'oeil waistband and pocket. Band of Outsiders is such a fun line because it's smart but also cool and relaxed.

DVF's golden finale
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of her signature wrap dress, DVF's show featured a finale of models in gold dresses dancing on stage with Diane and the show's musical guest St. Vincent. No designer blooms in the spotlight more than DVF!
