Though bombshell actress Alexa Vega got her showbiz start starring in family-friendly fare like the Spy Kids franchise, she's, um, the opposite of family friendly as the super-sexy scantily clad hit woman KillJoy in Robert Rodriguez's upcoming super-pulpy action film, Machete Kills. Get to know this badass L.A. lady below.
Describe what you do in 3 words.
Play dress up.
Describe living in L.A. in 3 words.
Sunny, fun, lazy
What are you working on now?
My comic book Suicide Layne and an old western film that starts next month.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I knew I wanted to be an actress. My favorite movies were Paper Moon and The Professional. Those two films had incredible young leads and I wanted to do that!
If you got to take over MOCA, what would your first exhibition be?
LACMA had a Tim Burton exhibition that I missed. I would redo it just to see it.
What's the biggest misconception about L.A.?
I've heard that people here are mean, they're really very easy-going. I think it's actually one of the friendlier cities.
Where's your favorite place to eat in L.A.?
Izakaya on 3rd. I love sushi. I would eat it breakfast. Lunch...and dinner.
What's the most touristy L.A. thing you've ever done?
I love Topanga Canyon. I'll ride my motorcycle up through the canyons and eat at Abuelitas or Froggy's.
If you could be any star from Old Hollywood, who would you be and why?
Bette Davis. All About Eve is one of my favorite films
What's your best celebrity run-in story?
Teri Hatcher at a garage sale. I hadn't seen her since the first Spy Kids.
