1. Big silent auction benefit and party for "Flood the Art Market" is happening next Monday, January 28, 5 to 10 p.m. at Cristin Tierney Gallery (546 West 29th Street). All the proceeds will go to the NYFA Emergency Fund to help artists directly affected by Hurricane Sandy. It's hosted by Cey Adams, Kathleen Hanna, Adam Horovitz, Tara Kelly, Hally McGehean and Clams Rockefeller. Here's a list of all the artists contributing works. Go and bid!

3. Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld is presenting a new exhibit called "Merci Mercy" that he's curated with Bortolami Gallery director Christine Messineo. The group show "examines language and text" in contemporary art and includes works by Dash Snow, Gary Simmons, Nan Goldin, Robert Gober, Tracey Emin, Gilbert & George, Jack Pierson and many more. It will be on view from January 25 until February 17 at 980 Madison Avenue, 3rd floor.
