SNL's cold open this weekend, featuring the New York Children's Chorus singing "Silent Night," was stirring and wonderful. (The entire episode, hosted by Martin Short, was great. Especially when Samuel L. Jackson accidentally dropped the F bomb. Also, Paul McCartney playing yet again with a clearly beside-themselves Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear was the best.)
