Joana Avillez is a New York-born and based illustrator. She got our attention as Swann in Delusional Downtown Divas--the web series that first put Lena Dunham on the map. Now, in addition to illustrating Dunham's forth-coming book, she's producing a T-shirt line with Refinery29 featuring drawings of various fashion folk like Grace Coddington and Bill Cunningham. Here, she recalls one of her most memorable trips.
