Jane Fonda is pretty much one of the coolest women ever. An ultra-talented actress, subject of the best Oprah's Master Class episode to date and tireless fighter for causes she believes in, we can all learn a lesson from her commitment to her ideals. One of Jane's favorite causes is Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention, which she founded in 1995. GCAPP's goal is to eliminate teen pregnancy in Georgia. The organization does advocacy, education and outreach all across the state. Being a lifelong fan of Jane's work, I'm excited to co-host the first-ever New York City fundraiser for GCAPP on October 11th at the Darby with fellow New Yorkers Andy Cohen, Lady Bunny, Chris Noth, Michael Stipe, Ariel Foxman, Marjorie Gublemann and more. Bravo TV's Andy Cohen will interview Jane on stage for part of the evening about her Academy Award-winning film Klute, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Following the interview, funny lady Sandra Bernhard will lead an auction of donated items. It promised to be a hoot of an evening in support of a wonderful organization started by an inspiring lady.
Information on tickets is on the flyer above. There are also a few tickets available to a super-fancy VIP pre-event cocktail party hosted by Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler. Come raise some money with me for a good cause!
