Growing up in the suburbs of Atlanta during the pre-Internet era meant magazines were basically the only way to keep up with all the cool shit going on around the world. For me The Face, HeartattaCk, NME, Paper, Spin and Raygun were always in heavy rotation. One of my favorites that often gets overlooked is Index. Based in NYC, they covered a wide range of subjects with their classic interviews. From musicians like Morrissey and Kool Keith to designers like Helmut Lang and Jean Touitou and actors like Willem Dafoe and Dennis Hopper. Check out the full Index magazine interview archives here.
