Elizabeth Thompson & Alexis Swerdloff
Thanks to
Shaun Usher and
Daily Intel, we learned this morning of what may have been the first known usage of the term
O.M.G. In 1916, British admiral
John Arbuthnot Fisher penned a letter to
Sir Winston Churchill wherein he wrote: "I hear that a new order of Knighthood is on the tapis --
O.M.G (Oh! My! God!)--Shower it on the Admiralty!!"
To which we respond...
Er. Mahr. Gerd.
