Compton-bred rapper Kendrick Lamar (whose recent set at Pitchfork even saw Lady Gaga climbing over a fence to watch it) has a new music video out today for his song "Swimming Pools (Drank)," a track from his forthcoming album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, out October 2nd via Interscope/Aftermath/Top Dawg. The video opens with a scene out of one of the most common recurring dreams: that falling one. We watch the MC falling through a black void, never knowing where he lands before the clip cuts to a pretty girl and footage of glass bottles shattering. The rest of the video features lots of alcohol, an introspective KL, and an introspective KL rapping about alcohol (and alcoholism). There's also a party scene that looks like it takes place in a photographer's darkroom. Watch it above.
