PAPERMAG: Nice Balls: <em>Vogue</em> Taps Designers to Create Some Fancy Tennis Balls

To get us all riled up for the U.S. Open, the forces that be over at Vogue came up with the genius idea to tap the best fashion designers (and Maria Sharapova) to create custom-made tennis balls. Some of our favorites below:

What a cutie! Warby Parker channeled the Royal Tenenbaums with their ball.

We love how Pamela Love infused her signature arrow into the ball. It's simple and fierce, yet we're not quite sure how effective it would be on the court.

Maria Sharapova kept it seductive, which she is often apt to do. She infused the ball with her lip logo and provided some mini edible tennis balls in support of her recently launched candy line, Sugarpova.
