Here's the Steven Klein-directed ad for Lady Gaga's new fragrance, Fame. It features lots of black ooze, latex, weird eyebrows, exploding glass, screaming and a woman with a breathy British accent at the end saying "Gaga, Lady Gaga. Fame." That is all fine and good and Gaga, but isn't she all about making us expect the unexpected? Wouldn't it be much more envelope-pushing at this point if Lady Gaga's Steven Klein-directed Fame ad featured her swinging in slow motion on a tire-swing in a gingham dress and smelling a sunflower while a shirtless guy in a cowboy hat hugged her around the waist in a wheat field? When in doubt, just re-make a 1992 Windsong commercial, avant pop stars.  [ Towleroad]
