The new music video for Aimee Mann's "Charmer" begins with Mann expressing her concerns about the rigors of touring to John Hodgman who promptly advises her to buy a robot body double. Soon enough, we see a delivery man (played by PAPER Copy Editor/Music writer Alex Scordelis!) drop off a massive box and...out comes Laura Linney!  The Squid and the Whale and The Big C actress plays a highly effective  doppelgänger and, once Mann teaches her how to play a guitar and sign autographs, off Linney goes on tour.  We won't give away the ending but let's just say there's only room for one Aimee Mann in the world.  Watch the video above.

"Charmer" is the titular track off of Mann's forthcoming album of the same name, out September 18th via the singer's own label, Superego.
