Frank Ocean was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to promote his new album Channel Orange, which he surprised fans by releasing on iTunes a few hours before his Fallon performance and a week early before its scheduled drop. (It's also streaming in full on Ocean's Tumblr.) Ocean performed track "Bad Religion," the very song that a UK journalist referenced last Monday when speculating about the singer's sexuality. This prompted Ocean to post a much-talked-about Tumblr post (actually liner notes from Channel Orange) July 4th in which he recounted falling in love with a man when he was 19. (That man would not admit to Ocean that the feeling had been mutual, however, for another three years. Ugh, ugh, ugh.) It's a really gorgeous performance, with a string orchestra backing him as well as the Roots. Watch it above.
