South Korean officials along with K-pop mastermind, JYP (a.k.a. Korea's P-Diddy) of JYP Entertainment, unveiled 32 different kinds of new K-SOOL (Korean liquor) at
Korean BBQ restaurant Kristalbelli last night. The evening, billed as "K-Pop, paired with K-Food, tuned with K-Pop," is part of a series of food/drink events with appearances by K-Pop groups including the Wonder Girls (featured in our Beautiful People issue last year) and 2PM as well as concerts coming up this summer. There were 18 different brands attending out of 25 winners who made the final list in a nationwide liquor competition, and offerings last night including everything from raspberry wines to mushroom soju. If you're in NYC for the next two days stop by Kristalbelli as they're offering the K-SOOL liquor tasting to the public for free through the 8th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. For more info go here.
