Now that he's abandoned his rap music career, Joaquin Phoenix heads back to the silver screen to play a follower of a mysterious cult in The Master. The film, due out in the fall, is the latest from Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, Magonlia) and it also stars Laura Dern and Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the leader of an organization that many have speculated is based on Scientology, but here is called "The Cause."
