Australian actress Rebel Wilson had only been in the U.S. for three months when she landed a part in the smash-hit movie Bridesmaids. Rightfully, it's an achievement she's pretty proud of. "If you're a girl in comedy, you wanted to be in that movie," the 28-year-old says of her role as one of Kristen Wiig's hair-raising sibling roommates in the 2011 film. A TV star back home, Wilson moved to L.A. in 2010. When Bridesmaids went on to gross $287 million worldwide, Wilson says, "I thought, 'Yeah, things might go well for me here.'"

Wilson has six films out this year, including What to Expect When You're Expecting and Bachelorette, with Kirsten Dunst and Lizzy Caplan. Also on the horizon in 2012 is Pitch Perfect, about competitive collegiate a capella choirs. Wilson plays "a belter who sings very loudly named Fat Amy." She says the character's name was a selling point. "I'm sure lots of actresses would have looked at that role and said, 'I'm not playing that!' But I thought, 'This is going to be funny. And why not?'"

A return to TV is also in the works. She just sold the Conan O'Brien-produced Super Fun Night, "about three nerdy girls on a quest for fun," to CBS. She says casting for the show has been interesting. "One guy came in recently and goes, 'Oh, I saw Bridesmaids last night!' And then he just stood there, silent. I said, 'So, did you like it?' And he goes, 'Well, I saw it.' Does he really think he's going to get cast in the show now? And also, who didn't like Bridesmaids?"

Rebel wears a dress by Zimmermann and a scarf by Tory Burch.
