Suno's
Max Osterweis and
Erin Beatty, finalists in his year's
CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, helped spearhead the recent American obsession with prints. Suno's F/W '12 collection, though meant to conjure the sensation of "childhood glee," actually called to view their sophistication as well as their sense of humor. Small creatures were hidden in prints and though storybook references were woven through the collection, it did not seem nostalgic or too precious. Instead, it offered a fresh perspective when layered with broad stripes and hounds tooth outerwear. And, collaborations with jewelry designer
Pamela Love and footwear specialist
Nicholas Kirkwood drew our attention to the details. It all has us fantasizing about what they may think of next.
