All of that pink from Barbie Dream Closet must have seeped out into the ether, because Mena Suvari arrived at Christian Siriano's Fall/Winter 2012 show nearlyunrecognizable in a hot pink bodycon dress and a polished, chic, slightly politicians-wife-y blondebob ("I'm in the grow out phase"). Suvari's dress, which was designed by Siriano, of course, turnedheads (and flashbulbs) amidst the murky sea of Manhattan black everyone elsewas wearing.  When asked how longago she had planned her outfit, she told us that, in fact, she and Siriano hadonly had their fitting the night before at 10 p.m.

"It's kind of funny because last night Christian and I hadthe fitting and he was joking how 'I love that we always have our late nightfittings!' because it's always last minute," Suvari said.  "But that's what's so great [about]Christian.  He knows me so he knowsexactly what's going to fit me and we just worked together."

Speaking of working together, the actress recently starredin the designer's elegant Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign, which also featured a video showing Suvari playing the partof a lonely socialite -- all dolled up with apparently no place to go, left alone ina marvelous hotel.  Suvaritold PAPERMAG that the duo "go way back" and it's clear their bicoastalfriendship runs deep since the star appeared shocked when the nearby publicistconfirmed the two had only known each other for three years.

"It feels like we've known each other forever," shesaid.  "I've always thought he wasamazing but then he just gets better and better and better.  I just can't stand it!"
