1. The Collective BK launches their arts festival, "Keeping It Small," at the Gowanus Ballroom (55 Ninth Street, Brooklyn) on Saturday, January 14th, 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.  You can expect music, plays, art, films, dancers...you name it, and it's only $10 or FREE before 7 p.m.  Here are the details.
