PAPER
Word of Mouth

1. Michelle Obama on iCarly! (Also, that's SNL's Taran Killam as a Secret Service agent.) [Buzzfeed]

2. To show their commitment to "sex as God intended," a Texas pastor and his wife plan to spend 24 hours in bed on the roof of his church. They're streaming the "Sexperiment" live here from January 13th (6 a.m. CST) until January 14th. Gross! This reminds us of John and Yoko's Bed-In For Peace in 1969 at a hotel in Amsterdam. Then, as we're sure will be the case here, there will be no sex involved, just lots of media.

3. Before it closes on January 21st, be sure to check out the Kitchen's (512 West 19th Street) cool sci-fi multi-media performance of Jay Scheib's World of Wires. Our theater expert, Tom Murrin, picked this as a show to watch for in 2012 and $20 tickets are still available here.

4. Brad Pitt cane UPDATE: Apparently he was using the cane after he fell while carrying his daughter, Vivienne, and sacrificed himself to protect her. [Gossip Cop]

5. Watch this unbelievable time-lapse video of a 30-story building going up in China in only 15 days. New York's downtown PATH station started construction in 2005 and might be finished in 2015. Just saying. [Treehugger]

6. Buraka Som Sistema -- purveyors of Angolan dance music, kuduro, and more -- play the Bowery Ballroom (6 Delancey Street) on Wednesday, January 11th, 8 p.m.  Brenmar (née Bill Salas of These Are Powers) opens and tickets are here.

7. Ninety-nine stupid things the Canadian government did with taxpayers' money, including paying $19.8 million to consultants to find ways to save money. [Maclean's]
