Daniel Arsham Solo Show Preview

While artist Daniel Arsham enjoys the good reviews for his "cloud" sets designed for the current Merce Cunningham Dance Company tour, he's certainly not resting.  The New York-based artist is preparing for the opening of a big debut solo show -- "the fall, the ball, and the wall" -- opening Friday, January 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. at OHWOW (937 N. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles).  The show will include his "structural interventions" with melting/dripping walls, plus several new works on canvas and sculpture based on magnified cloud photos.  The exhibit is up until February 16. Arsham's Brooklyn firm Snarkitecture is also working on a revised version of the original Miami Orange Bowl sign for the site of the new Marlins stadium.
