A big group art show, OUTLAW, opens tonight, January 12th, 6 to 10 p.m., at White Box (329 Broome Street). This is the second exhibit presented by 2feet12inches and it was curated by Robert Aloia, Brent Bartley, Frankie Cedeno and Laksmi Hedemark. Their goal is to "re-capture the spirit of downtown NYC" and we really hope they do it.  There are works by over 40 artists plus DJs tonight including Jazzy Nice, Steve Lewis, Small Change and more, AND there will be film screenings on the weekend and a book reading by John "Bloodclot" Joseph. It's all over by Monday, so be sure to stop by.

There are three other openings (and those dot paintings) tonight that should be cool: Nyehaus Gallery (358 West 20th Street #2) opens "Hoodwinked?" with works by Mike Kelley and Richard Prince. Meanwhile, Martos Gallery has a two-man show with new works by Ryan Foerster and Ben Schumacher and Steven Kasher (521 W. 23rd Street) opens "Naked City" with 125 fantastic photos by the legendary Weegee (nee Arthur Fellig).
