This Friday marks the opening of artist Andrea Mary Marshall's debut solo show "Toxic Women" at one of our favorite galleries (Allegra LaViola), helmed by one of our favorite gallerists (Allegra LaViola). The show features a series of self-portraits examining the intersection of "identity, female sexuality, and consumer culture in the context of the iideal woman.'" This takes the form of provocative paintings and photographs as well as a delightful Vague magazine cover.
