This video for "Somebody That I Used To Know" may already have over 11 million views on YouTube, but the artist is playing in the bar of the Thompson Hotel tomorrow afternoon for CMJ. (Hey, you have to pay your dues!) Gotye, pronounced like the fashion designer Gauthier, is already really, really big in Australia and is in New York this week to try his luck in the states. The song is from his latest album, Making Mirrors, and features the New Zealand singer Kimbra. Guess what? We like it! We're taking the album home tonight to see how it sounds under different conditions. And you might just see us at the Thompson Hotel tomorrow.
