I'm a big loudmouth when it comes to equal rights and if the message can be broadcast through cool t-shirts I am as happy as the gayest clam.
The Human Rights Campaign is teaming up with photographer
iO Tillett Wright to document the LGBT community over 25 cities as part of her "Self Evident Truths Project." Wright shot over 300 portraits in black and white in New York
back in April, in natural light without any makeup or styling. The HRC decided to help Wright's equality awareness project by releasing limited edition tee shirts with photographs of famous subjects like
Tegan Quin of the band
Tegan and Sara,
JD Samson from
MEN, artist
Terence Koh,
Bianca Casady from
CocoRosie and fashion designer
Robert Tagliapietra of
Costello Tagliapietra. The tee shirts cost only $29 and $5 from each sale goes to the Self Evident Truth project. Which gay icon do you want to wear this fall? You can buy the tee shirts
here.
