George Kuchar, seminal underground filmmaker and inspiration to John Waters, has passed away at the age of 69. Says Indiewire: "Kuchar's impact (along with his twin brother Mike), on six decades of film, visual art and popular culture is immeasurable." His magnum opus Hold Me While I'm Naked, 1966 (see clip above) was named one of the 100 best films of the 20th Century by the Village Voice. Truly one of the most visionary artists of his time.
