Orange You Glad? NYFW's Hottest Color Was the Stuff of Caution Cones and Hi-C

We've noticed 'caution orange' on the rise for some time now, but, not necessarily in New York. For Spring/Summer '12, however, it seemed New York Fashion Week was painted in orangeade. And that's not a bad thing --the color, most commonly associated with Hi-C or construction workers, is surprisingly easy to wear.

Derek Lam took us to Palm Springs for his version of the eye-popping pigment. Bibhu Mohapatra put his in the form of delicate silk-pleat pants. Alice + Olivia designer, Stacy Bendet, made hers into the essential evening-appropriate belted cocktail dress while Marc by Marc Jacobs lended his take to both sexes with sporty suit versions of the eye-catching hue.

Peruse our round-up of the OJ-inspired color pop of S/S '12 above.
