Nicki Minaj wasn't the only one flaunting a mass of blue hair this New York Fashion Week. Several designers took the ubiquitous spring trend of vibrant hues beyond their garments. Over the past week we've seen tresses in electric blue, bright pink, lavender, peach and cotton candy blue hit the runways.
The hairstylists at Peter Som took a more modest approach, simply adding streaks of color, while models at the Faster by Mark Fast presentation donned thick pony tail extensions that matched the shade of their garment. Thakoon and Narciso Rodriguez both went for a bold, all over painted on look.
Perhaps designers were inspired by the bubblegum pink locks of model Charlotte Free, who doubtlessly made an impression when she took her first turn on the catwalk last February.
Either way, we're loving it.
