Fashion Schmashion
narcisorodriguezfw2011qa.jpgNarciso Rodriguez, one of the nicest men in showbiz (aka the fashion world), also happens to be one of the most talented. Known for his exquisite cuts and tailoring and his graphic approach to design, Rodriguez was kind enough to take time out of his super-busy pre-Fashion Week sked to answer a few of my questions via email.

Kim Hastreiter: How are you feeling now that summer's nearly over?
Narciso Rodriguez: This summer was fantastic and I hate to see it end. Thomas and I had a beautiful vacation where we stopped in Paris first to see the inspiring Madame Grès exhibit at the Museé Bourdelle. We went on to have more good times in Ischia, Capri, Lake Como and Florence.

KH: What can we expect from your upcoming collection? What were you inspired by?
NR: The collection, as always, is inspired by many things and never one specific theme.

KH: How do you keep relaxed during this very stressful time of year?
NR: To keep from stressing out during this time of year I make time to take a walk for coffee in the afternoon. It really makes a difference when you are faced with a long night ahead.

KH: Favorite look from the collection, and favorite girl to wear it?
NR: Look #1 worn by Freja.

KH: How are you handling these slightly Armageddon-ish times?
NR: I've been staying very optimistic through Irene's annoying visit, the earthquakes and the stock market seesaw.
