For a different take on fashion, stop by the
Mary Boone Gallery (745 Fifth Ave., 5 to 7 p.m.) tomorrow night for the opening of a new photo exhibit by
Luis Gispert called
"Decepcion." The show features customized car interiors swathed in Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Burberry logos, as well as people sporting customized designer duds -- which Gispert spent two years tracking down and photographing. And be sure to check out Carlo McCormick's take on how hip-hop's "bling" moved into high art (he discusses Gispert, DZINE and Fab 5 Freddy) in the September issue of PAPER, on newsstands now. Also opening tomorrow is the first part of two-gallery exhibit of new works by Nick Cave (not the musician) at Jack Shainman (513 West 20th Street, 6 to 8 p.m.) Part two of the exhibit opens on September 10 at Mary Boone (541 West 24th Street) in Chelsea.
