About Last Night
Before bursting into "American Boy" at Diane von Furstenberg's Fashion's Night Out party last night, Estelle pointed to the designer and squealed, "She's who I want to be when I grow up!"

It was obvious that the hoards of young girls packed into Furstenberg's Meatpacking District boutique felt similarly.

Earlier in the night, Ms. Von Furstenberg danced (literally) through the front doors of the shop as "Single Ladies" blasted from the DJ booth. Immediately, the frenzied crowd shifted their attention from the Svedka bar to the designer, and created a massive swarm around her.

The event was centered on her yet-to-be-released perfume, Diane, and she made sure that every party-goer got a whiff.

"Young girls don't know the power of fragrance, so I wanted to create a real perfume," she told us as she posed for pictures and personally tied "Diane" scented ribbons around fans' wrists.

With a smirk she said that the scent, which includes notes of violets and frangipanis, contains all of her "secrets of seduction."

The crowd was so enamored with DVF that celebs in attendance like Sophia Bush and Whitney Port nearly went unnoticed.

Diane jumped on the stage to give her guests parting words of wisdom before disappearing for the night. "Be the woman you want to be!"  she said, and the room erupted in cheers.
