Word of Mouth
SUB-FREUD-articleLarge.jpgDr. Sigmund Freud would probably agree that you'd have to be pretty crazy to pass up nycgo.com's amazing twofer ticket deal on Off-Broadway shows from September 26 to October 9. Although the two-for-one ticket offer applies to more than 25 shows, we'd also be willing to bet that the good doctor would recommend Freud's Last Session. The play, written by Mark St. Germain, has been running since January and imagines what might have happened if an elderly Dr. Freud and a young C.S. Lewis were to have met at the dawn of World War II. What would the conversation have been like between the lifelong atheist and the converted theist who wrote the classic Christianity-tinged tale, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe? Well, we'll give you a hint: the dialogue is heated at times, but always intelligent and even quite funny! It's an interesting look at both points of view, but after seeing Mark H. Dold, who plays C.S. Lewis, we might be swayed to the side of Lewis. With good-looking actors like him, there has to be a god!

Freud's Last Session is playing through October 2 at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater at the West Side YMCA before moving to New World Stages on October 7.

Make sure you celebrate Off-Broadway Week (in partnership with NYC & Company), 9/26-10/9, with 2-for-1 tickets. Get your tickets here.
